Family Counselling
For you and your family relationships- Families
- Parents and children
- Siblings
- Step families and extended families
Every family has arguments. Usually they are easily resolved but sometimes the problems get worse and the longer they are left the more difficult it is to make up, creating tension and stress for everyone.
- What is Relate Family Counselling?
You can see a Relate Family Counsellor individually, as a small group or the whole family together. We won't take sides or tell you what to do, we will encourage each family member to have a voice and help you to resolve your differences together.
Relate can help families, parents and young people in their family life. We can also support you and your children through a divorce or separation.
Our family counsellors can also offer short-term solution focused counselling to separating or separated couples and families who need help with emotional support, especially for the children
- How can it help me?
All families are unique and have unique problems but our counsellors are experienced relationship experts and are specially trained to work with families to help people resolve their problems.

A great new facility for parents is available from Relate. A website www.relateforparents.org.uk offers advice and tips to parents of all ages. It includes a free "live-chat" facility where you can ask a counsellor a question and there is also a texting version.
